Matthew Ellerbeck is a Music Columnist & Reviewer.
Matthew has always been passionate about music. As a teenager, he worked at the Kingston CD Warehouse Music Store (which was one of the largest retail music outlets in Eastern, Ontario at the time). Here, he saw first hand how music can profoundly impact individuals of all walks of life, as he spent much time talking to impassioned fans.
More recently Matthew completed the Music Business Foundations Course from the Berklee College of Music, the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world. Matthew stated this course was key to his work in terms of writing music reviews/retrospectives, as understanding the music business as a whole further allows the writer to discern how an artist or particular release is received by the public.
His insights on music have been featured on FM Radio from coast to coast, including CFUR 887 FM in Prince George (British Columbia), CKUW 959 FM in Winnipeg (Manitoba), CIUT 895 FM in both Toronto and Ottawa (Ontario), and CHMR 935 FM in St. Johns (Newfound Land).
In 2023, Matthew started making monthly appearances on the nationally syndicated Radio Program Rainbow Country. Here he presents song recommendations/examinations.
